Congratulates JOPLIN VENETIAN BLIND, INC of their WINNING ENTRY
VINYL-SIDED HOMES RECEIVE AWARDS FOR QUALITY AND BEAUTY

Washington, D. C., April 20, 2000:
Proving that attractive vinyl siding is also a high quality product, 32 homes and other buildings from across the United States have received Awards of Distinction from the Vinyl Siding Institute (VSI).
For the first time in the Awards program's 17 year history, all award projects were required to be constructed with vinyl siding certified installers through the VSI Vinyl Siding Certification Program, which independently evaluates and tests vinyl siding for weatherability, impact resistance, wind resistance and other performance standards.
Homeowners, contractors, builders, architects, and manufacturers were recognized for their impressive use of certified vinyl siding in the categories of: Residential New Construction, Residential Re-Siding, Historic Restoration, Non-Residential, and Special Applications.
"We are particularly proud of this year's award winners," said VSI Executive Director, Jery Y. Huntley. "Not only did they demonstrate a variety of attractive uses for vinyl siding, but they also showcased quality products."
This year, VSI's panel of judges included: Bill Asdal, owner of Asdal & Company Builders, Chester, N.J.; Tom Manion, principal of Manion & Carotola Architects, P.C., Wash. D.C.; John Ingersoll, a contributing writer and editor for many construction, remodeling and home interest magazines, including Country Living and VSI Exe. Director Huntley.
